Hello, I'm Marc Ribera

Senior Frontend Developer

I build digital products that make complexity understandable.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, I develop interfaces and design digital product experiences.
I combine code, user experience and product thinking to turn complex needs into coherent, functional digital applications.

01 / Profile

Technology should be at the service of people.

I have dedicated 10 years of my life to Frontend, the part of software development where technology meets people. I work with a user-centred approach, where product and interface decisions lead to useful, intuitive solutions.

Education

I am an Industrial Technical Engineer by training. It taught me to understand systems, analyse problems and seek structured solutions, a way of thinking I still apply today. I shifted my professional career towards the digital field and completed a Postgraduate Degree in Web Development. I am currently continuing to broaden my technical profile with Google's UX/UI training and a Master's Degree in AI at Big School.

How I work

Before building a solution, I need to understand the problem we are solving. That is why the first step is understanding what users need and which decisions the product should enable.

Over time, I have learned that a good product does not depend on technology alone, but also on how the people building it organise and collaborate. I have worked as an Agile facilitator, helping create dynamics that bring order to the work, roles and decision-making.

In my professional and personal experience, the best results emerge when people work with trust, listening and cooperation. When you can contribute your knowledge, take part in decisions and are given the space to do so, work stops being a collection of tasks and becomes something created together.

02 / Experience

From building interfaces to a product vision centred on people.

My career has revolved around digital product development and a gradual broadening of responsibilities. Frontend has remained my specialty as I have incorporated product thinking, UX/UI judgement, and coordination and facilitation responsibilities within teams.

  1. La Moncloa

    Technical Adviser

    Madrid · 1 year and 7 months

I took part in a technology project within the office of the President of the Government of Spain, contributing my experience in Frontend development, functional analysis and interface improvement.

Although I cannot go into the details of the project, I can say that it was a good example of how technology can be used with a clear focus on service and social impact.

The context also made it a particularly enriching experience: working in government and collaborating with extraordinary people from different disciplines broadened my perspective in many ways, especially on how projects are built and coordinated in institutional environments.

  2. Citibeats

Senior Frontend Developer · UX/UI · Scrum Master

    Barcelona · 5 years and 9 months

For almost six years, I contributed to the development and evolution of complex digital products, particularly dashboards, reusable interfaces and data visualisations for analysis and decision-making with social impact.

My responsibilities grew alongside the product: from Frontend development to also taking on UX/UI, product, Frontend coordination and Agile facilitation responsibilities as a Scrum Master.

  3. The Social Coin

    Junior Frontend Developer

    Barcelona · 1 year and 7 months

I joined The Social Coin, a purpose-driven startup developing a web application designed to encourage kindness and help people create chains of mutual support and favours.

I worked as a Junior Frontend Developer on the application using AngularJS. I also developed landing pages and some internal websites.

  4. Three Feelings

    Web Developer

    Barcelona · 1 year and 6 months

I worked as a web developer in a design studio, turning visual designs into functional interfaces using HTML, CSS, PHP and WordPress.

This stage was closely tied to the relationship between design and development, allowing me to work closely with the process of turning a visual proposal into a real digital experience.

  5. Codi AV

    Audiovisual Technician · Interactive Systems

    Barcelona · 6 months

I worked on programming, installing and configuring audiovisual systems and interactive installations for museums, exhibitions and interpretation centres.

It was a very hands-on stage, combining software, hardware, networks and controllers to make interactive experiences work in physical environments.

It also broadened my understanding of interaction, through experiences that extended beyond a screen and combined software, hardware and physical space.

Residual Gurus lighting system during the performance

Residual Gurus

Interactive lighting system for a night-time performance

I designed and built an LED lighting system for a night-time performance by Residual Gurus.

I programmed different lighting effects with Arduino and added piezoelectric sensors capable of detecting the musicians' strikes and triggering lighting responses in real time.

Each musician had a self-contained unit with a battery, Arduino, controls for selecting programs and connections for the LED strips. I built four units to be used simultaneously during the performance.

Selection of personal projects published on Kronos

Kronos - An alternative to time thieves

Kronos brings together projects I develop out of curiosity: applications, automations, games and prototypes that connect software, electronics, music and interaction.

These personal projects allow me to explore technologies, understand how different systems work and turn an idea into something functional.
